Hello, I am Raphael de Robiano.
I’m a 10 years experienced User Experience consultant.
I help my clients to build more User Centric Digital Products (Mobile, Websites, eCommerce, Intranets, application, Saas, …).
One of the aspects impacting User Experience is the emotion your product does generate. If you want to optimize the User Experience of your product, you have to understand the emotions the product currently generates and when it does appear.
You need it to rework your UX!
For the moment I get the information through user test sessions, online surveys, focus groups,… and try to catch frustration, excitation, fear, … along the experience with the product.
But honestly this not always easy (this is often more interpretations than real insights).
Some weeks ago I made user tests and during the sessions with the user I discovered that some items in the interface disgusted the user. If I had not done the test, we would never discover that and so we would have been unable to change that perception.
The more data you have, the better your analysis will be.
So, I do really think that catching the emotions of users is a must have to improve User Experience.
I think that in the future, UX experts will have to work more and more with data to analyse the current solution and validate the hypothesis of the new one.
So this tool is going in the right direction!
